The Genre We Love

Horror is a
form of art

Horror gets under your skin in a way nothing else does. It triggers real emotions — anticipation, tension, relief — in an environment where you are always in control. We chose this genre because it creates the most honest, visceral, and memorable experiences possible. You will be scared. You will love it.

The foundation

Fear makes us alert

Horror is more than a genre to us. It is a way of creating worlds that feel fictional, yet emotionally real.

We choose horror because fear is one of the most powerful emotions we can work with. It makes us alert. It focuses our attention. It gives our actions meaning. When something feels frightening, even for a moment, we naturally start asking questions: What is happening? What should I do? Where should I go? Can I face this?

?

What is happening?

?

What should I do?

?

Where should I go?

?

Can I face this?

That makes horror a powerful foundation for interactive experiences. It gives you a reason to move, to explore, to make decisions, and to become part of the world around you.

Why Horror

fictional worlds, real emotions

We believe horror gives us something that few other genres can: the freedom to create worlds that are completely fictional while still feeling deeply human.

We can create creatures, strange places, impossible situations, and stories that could never exist in our everyday lives. But the emotions inside them can still be very real.

Fear.

Curiosity.

Relief.

Courage.

Wonder.

Connection.

Whether we are telling an emotional story, creating a strange and playful world, or simply building a good spooky adventure, horror gives us the space to make those experiences feel meaningful.

For us, horror is not about making something as frightening as possible. It is about making something that feels real for a moment.

What We Want You to Feel

You are in the story

We want you to become part of the experience.

When you enter one of our games, we want you to understand the world around you, understand why you are there, and feel that your actions matter. We want you to move with intention rather than simply follow instructions.

Our goal is immersion with agency: you should feel like you are in the story, not just watching it happen.

Fear helps create that feeling. When you are frightened, your surroundings suddenly matter more. Every sound becomes interesting. Every choice has weight. Even walking through a room can become an active decision.

And because you are the one making those decisions, your experience becomes your own.We want you to leave our games having created your own emotional journey through them.

How we define horror

Fictional, playful, and curious

We love spooky stories. We love creatures, strange premises, unexpected situations, and the feeling of wondering what might be around the corner. We like using fear to make you curious about what comes next.

What we are not interested in is hurting you, humiliating you, or making you feel powerless for the sake of it. We do not use gore or pain as the foundation of our experiences. We do not want fear to become a threat from us toward you.

Instead, we see fear as part of the game.  A challenge. Something you can encounter, understand, and overcome.

"Okay, i'm scared. But I'm going to do it anyway. "

And when you do, we hope you come out of the experience feeling a little braver than when you went in.

Fear Without Harm

Scared, but safe

We believe you should be able to enjoy horror while still feeling safe. We are players ourselves, and we design experiences from that perspective. We do not want to physically hurt you, restrain you, or force you into situations involving unwanted physical contact.

Never part of the game

You will not be chained to a wall.

We will not hurt you.

We will not use physical pain to make you participate.

We do not lock you into a situation where you cannot leave.

Always part of the game

Everything we do with fear is there to support the story and the gameplay.

Our games are designed with safety in mind, including appropriate fire-safety measures.

If you ever genuinely feel unsafe, you can leave the experience.

If you are looking for physical pain, restraint, or aggressive physical interaction, our games are simply not that kind of experience. We want you to be scared because you are playing, not because you are being harmed.

Let yourself become part of the fiction, even if you know that somewhere underneath it all, it is just a game. You do not have to be fearless. In fact, being scared is part of the fun.

What matters is respecting the experience and the people experiencing it with you. If you choose not to participate, please do so without deliberately disrupting the game for the rest of your group.

!

Never part of the game: violence toward our actors or staff

Our actors are there to create the world with you. They are not targets. Any violent behavior toward them will end your experience immediately. Safety comes first, always.

Why Fear Matters to Us

Ultimately, we use horror because fear makes fictional worlds feel real. For a little while, a sound can matter. A dark room can matter. A creature can matter. A decision can matter. Fear gives the world weight.

But the most important part comes afterward. You face something frightening, you make a choice, you keep moving, and eventually you come out the other side. That is the experience we want to create.

Not fear for fear’s sake. Not pain. Not humiliation. Not helplessness.

Worlds that challenge you, immerse you, and give you a reason to be brave .

Because sometimes the best thing about being scared is discovering that you can keep going anyway.
